About Me
Behind Autolec is me, Gregory Proctor.
Leaving School at sixteen, I embarked on one of the last traditional 4 year apprenticeships around with the Gloucestershire County Council in the late 1980’s. I completed with City & Guild qualifications of distinctions and credits as an Auto Electrician.
I then went on for eight years to work for a local Rolls Royce and Bentley franchise as their resident Auto Electrician. With them I gained a string of internal qualifications and a massive wealth of experience in fine automobiles old and new and of many makes and models.
In the mid 1990’s I then went to work for a Local vehicle security and audio specialist where I was able to get closer to my field of interest, car audio and audio visual specifically. As the years passed, my knowledge, experience and opinion in the field became something many seemed to take on board and trust when designing systems for their cars.
For the last seven or so years and some three apprentices later, I took over as general manager running every aspect of the business.
Finally in late 2007 I decided it was time to venture forth and start my own business and so Autolec was formed in February 2008.
